Designed for a couple entering retirement, the garden combines level access with generous, immersive planting and year-round views from the house and garden room.

Reclaimed materials from the original garden were reused beneath new terraces, paths and free-draining planting areas, while roof water is channelled through two troughs before overflowing into a pond with a cantilevered deck.

Even with the drought of 2026 parching the lawn in the images, the planting remained unirrigated throughout the season.
